Anne is a Duxbury, MA-based artist with over 30 years of creative experience.
A professional photographer by trade, Anne expanded her practice in 2023 to embrace the Nantucket Lightship basketry tradition.
Since then, she has created more than 100 baskets and over 300 bracelets, transforming the historic craft with her signature use of bold color, pattern, and unique, contemporary design.
Anne’s work has been featured at regional art markets and fairs, as well as the New Bedford Whaling Museum in 2024.
In 2025, Anne began teaching basketry workshops as a visiting Artist at the Nantucket Historical Association and the Fuller Craft Museum.
Community building with local businesses through fundraisers or shop pop-ins, Anne continues to believe in the love of creativity and making with your hands.
Opening up her on-line learning workshop options in 2026 Anne strives to share her exploration of color in Nantucket Basketry.
Anne loves sharing her passion for using COLOR in Nantucket Basketry and promoting her belief in the slow, meditative process of handcraft as a form of self-expression and connection.
Each piece Anne creates is rooted in tradition yet reimagined for modern life—woven with intention, color, and a spirit of originality that reflects both the coastal history of New England and her own artistic voice.
